Refurbishment

The requirement was to provide 13 new apartments, this was undertaken by the extensive conversion of the existing HMO facility which previously consisted of small individual bedrooms with existing bathrooms located at each end of the dwelling.

The conversion included the installation of acoustic partitions to form all of the 13 new apartments, Regupol acoustic underlay, new acoustic MF ceilings throughout, and new individual services for each apartment, including boilers, meters and DB boards.  Installation of new kitchens, bathrooms, and flooring inclusive of sanitaryware and appliances.

The flooring was a combination of LVT to the bathrooms and kitchens, carpet and underlay to the entrance hall and bedrooms and non-slip vinyl floor coverings to the communal areas.

Key Accountabilities: 

  • Internal refurbishment involving strip out, new structural supports and extensive internal remodelling.
  • Connections into a combination of new and existing MEP services under a permit-to-work system inclusive of underground drainage systems.
  • Conversion of an existing structure into new apartments.
